Well it certainly has been a little while since I did a pre workout review but today I’m finally posting up another one. The RSP Dyno pre workout is just the right product to get me back on track, in more way than one. As you know I’ve been fighting a few injuries combined with, well, just a lack of focus so I haven’t really known how to get myself back on track. Until I got some RSP Dyno. In this RSP Dyno review I’ll tell you the pros and cons of this particular pre workout. I think there is a lot to like about it, and of course a few things that hold it back. In this RSP Dyno review I’m going to do my best to give you a great feel for what it’s like to take this pre workout. You can’t underestimate the power of good pre workout. That’s what Dyno has taught me, and I’m pretty jazzed to give you the scoop on how this product works. Let’s get this RSP Dyno review kicked of with a flavor evaluation.

The first thing you notice about Dyno, and really any pre workout is the packaging. So actually why don’t I start with that. Usually I do packaging grades last but I’m feeling adventurous today. So we’ll start from the outside in.

RSP Dyno Pre Workout Packaging Grade: 9.4

This pre workout is beautifully designed, from top to bottom. The colors, the layout, the fonts, the sizing and spacing…it’s just all done magnificently. It’s actually a very traditional-looking label in several ways, and most folks probably don’t have the ability to find the quality in it. But trust me. I’ve seen and reviewed hundreds of pre workouts, and with the exception of a few that are just beyond gorgeous, DYNO is actually right up there among the best-LOOKING pre workouts in history. That’s fantastic praise for a company that, let’s face it, is not known for making super high-quality products. We know RSP makes CHEAP products, but not necessarily great quality. The stylish blue and silver graphics give you a hint as to the quality of the product that is inside. The name ‘DyN.O.’ is also clever as a way to reference Nitric Oxide improvements and it’s just a cool word to say. The use of bold, italicized fonts is another strong point of this pre workout, visually speaking. But enough about looks. How does it TASTE?

What’s the Best Flavor of RSP Dyno Pre Workout?

There are three flavors of RSP Dyno- Lemonade, Wild Berry, and Fruit Punch. All flavors use all natural flavorings which is a nice touch, and then are sweetened with sucralose, which is a commonly used artificial sweetener.

I actually had the pleasure of trying each of the three flavors of Dyno pre workout, so I can tell you how each one tastes and which one is better. After trying both of these RSP Dyno flavors I must say- I want this company to expand their flavor menu and make even more options. That’s because I actually found that all flavors are actually super tasty. Almost to the point where I can’t even pick a favorite! Some days I was in the mood for the berry, and some days I was in the mood for the lemonade. It’s hard to explain, but if you are a pre workout fan, you probably know what I mean.

The Berry flavor gets an 8.7 out of ten in my book. It’s tart, sweet, and really does have an authentic berry taste that is a refreshing change from the artificial stuff you usually get.

The Lemonade flavor of RSP Dyno is, as expected, more tart than the berry, and also contains a tad more sweetness to balance it out. I found it to be just a touch saltier, and overall a little bit less enjoyable. I will give it an 8.8 out of ten.

The Fruit Punch flavor of RSP Dyno is quite good as well. I think it’s a tie between this one and the berry as to what is the best flavor of RSP Dyno. Sometimes fruit punch is super repetitive, but sometimes it’s also exactly what you want and it hits the spot. I was finding that more often than not, this fruit punch flavor of RSP Dyno was hitting the spot. Super good.

So the flavors of RSP Dyno are all good. You can’t go wrong. But let’s talk about what’s actually IN this product now.

RSP DYNO Pre Workout Formula Grade: 8.8

The formula of RSP Dyno doesn’t blow you away, but at the same time it is solid enough, and transparent enough, to be a good performer. It reminds me, in that sense, of their fat burner Quadralean, that I’ve also reviewed here on the site. (Read my RSP Quadralean Review Here). The key areas of focus with the pre workout are the energy and focus. RSP claims that the product is also an endurance and nitric oxide booster, but the fact of the matter is that this pre workout isn’t big enough of a forumla to be a significant strength booster, or really even improve endurance to a significant degree. But. Dyno does have the energy and focus part down. Here are the ingredients in RSP DYNO:

Caffeine

Taurine

Citrus Aurantium

Choline Bitartrate

Alpha Glyceryl-Phosphoyl Choline

Black Pepper Extract

Beta Alanine

L-Argine Alpha Ketoglutarate 1:1

Vitamin B3 (niacin)

Magnesium

It’s easy to see what the good parts and the bad parts of this pre workout are. But I shouldn’t even say ‘bad’ parts. I don’t see too many things in this formula that I would consider a ‘bad’ ingredient, to be quite honest with you. I think there are a few things that it could’ve been made even BETTER with, but overall it’s a good old-fashioned formula.

The ‘old-fashioned’ part is definitely the beta-alanine, caffeine, and AAKG foundation of the product. AAKG is really a dinosaur ingredient, and I’m not sure why they decided to bring it back. But whatever. It’s not a highly effective ingredient, but at the same time it’s not a dangerous one, which is more than I can say for some other pre workouts…*cough* Mr. Hyde Pre workout, *cough* EVL ENGN pre workout

But anyways. This formula, while basic, does have a few notable quirks to it- most notably the full gram dosage of choline bitartrate. Along with some Alpha GPC, this pre workout is chalk-full of choline so that you are completely focused for your workout. Let’s get more into the performance side-

RSP Dyno Performance Grade: 8.8

I’ve had almost all good workouts with RSP Dyno. You can’t really underestimate the power of focus for workouts. I swear you can take all the strength and endurance products in the world, but if you aren’t committed to getting it done in your mind first, you just aren’t going to have a good workout. And that’s really the majority of what I want to tell you about today with Dyno.

I’ve done a full week of workouts- everything from rowing to running to tennis to weights. Each and every time I’ve taken RSP Dyno I’ve been motivated and energized and really in a great place with my mindset. And that’s what I’ve been missing these past few weeks. Just sort of not into things with my attitude. So I do appreciate the focus effects more than ever.

I don’t think you buy this pre workout for strength or endurance though. I will say my cardio workouts have all been ‘good’, but not ‘great’. I always like using amino acids to boost endurance so it hasn’t been a huge deal not to have them in my pre, but the pre workouts that DO have BCAA in them have a big advantage in endurance.

Overall the performance is great though. I do enjoy how RSP Dyno performs across a multitude of workouts. And that’s the bottom line. Let’s wrap up!

RSP Dyno Pre Workout Review Summary

  • RSP Dyno Pre Workout Flavor Grade: 8.9
  • RSP DYNO Pre Workout Formula Grade: 8.8
  • RSP Dyno Performance Grade: 8.8

When you take all the info I just threw at you, and condense it all into one little snapshot- you have the following: A nice-tasting pre workout that looks good, performs consistently, and is priced beautifully. I would recommend RSP Dyno pre workout to a friend.*
